A New Company
When Webber & Wolgemuth began the production of E4, the team had no idea what they were getting into. The most ambitious project to date, every shot taken in the film was to be a visual effect. The Special Visual Effects are so extreme the team decided to make a sperete company entity of Novel Cinema Pictures entitled Illusion Dream FX. The company was started to do the post visual effects on the film Encarta IV and hopefully branch of to other ambitious projects. The company is responsible for each effect on the film, from modeling the sets to the moutain scapes on the location scenes.

Each set was constructed to almost exacting specifications of the filming sets for the intrepid class vessels. Years worth of work was put into the modeling and proper lighting to achive the effect that the Encarta was a cripled waste land.

Although only seen in the film for a wopping 1:20 minutes of screentime throught the duration of the film just as much effort was placed into creating engineering for the film, who knows when the set may need to be called upon again. * ;)

The situation room is a new set developed specificaly for the Encarta IV feature. The set was designed to be a strategy room for the Senior staff, where they could anlize sensor patterns and formulate a way to get out of the rift and get back home, the set was primarly seen in the funeral scene. The set is merely a re-dress of the Captains Quarters.

The transporter room is one of the more realstic sets designed for the film, with exacting realstic quaility. The set is a spawn of the Enterprise-D transporter room, (realsticaly the transporter room used on the real series was re-dressed for each series from 1979-2001) which has been featured as the primary transporter room in the other Encarta features, and was adapted for E4.

The bridge was the most rigerous set to design with so many small details needing to go into make the set feal reailitic. Over a year was spent perfecting the model and set work.
